Christmas shopping stresses me out. There are some people who are great at getting gifts for others, and then there’s me. But living in Greenville, I’ve learned how to handle it. I now buy my loved ones gifts from local artists and businesses. And to make that even easier (and less stressful) I head to the different holiday markets in Greenville to pick up gifts for my family. I go to a couple markets and then I’m done for the season.
Greenville has lots of different holiday markets. Some are small, some are huge, some repeat a couple of times throughout the season, while others are just one and done kind of thing.
To help you find the best ones in town, I’ve put together this list below. Some are my personal favorites, while others are only ones I’ve heard about. I also be adding to this list as the season progresses (and I discover more)!
I’ve ordered these markets by their date (and if they have more than one, then their first date). I’ve also included a breakdown of what is available each day at the bottom of this post.
And I’ve indicated which are dog friendly so you know whether or not you can bring your (leashed) dog along with you when you shop!

If you’re a fan of small business Saturday (you know that day after Black Friday where you show the love locally), then head to Trailblazer Park for a special edition of the TR Farmers Market. Browse local goods from 60+ local and regional vendors.
Holiday Fair
Thursday, November 30: 10am-8pm
Friday, December 1: 10am-8pm
Saturday, December 2: 10am-6pm
Dogs not allowed.
This fair held at the Convention Center in downtown Greenville reminds me of the holiday craft show I went to as a kid. My mother loved seeing all of the holiday themed crafts and getting new, quality, handmade decorations for our home (instead of something that’s plastic and made in China). Tickets are $7 per person (less for seniors and kids). Expect tons of crafts and handmade goods, plus even a Santa for the kids.
Holiday Flea at Swamp Rabbit Cafe
Saturday, December 2: 10am-3pm
Saturday, December 9: 10am-3pm
Saturday, December 16: 10am-3pm
Saturday, December 23: 10am-3pm
The market is dog friendly. I always bring Ellie!
This large market hosted in the Swamp Rabbit Cafe back parking lot features music, food, and 75+ vendors. I’m not going to lie, this is probably the event I make sure to attend every single year. I love buying local. I love Swamp Rabbit Cafe. Match made in heaven.
Greer Farmers Market: Christmas Festival
Thursday, December 7: 10am-2pm
Friday, December 8: 10am-2pm
Friendly dogs are welcome!
I can’t find a whole lot of information online about this market. (I’ve also never gone to Greer’s Farmers Market.) But if you live more in this area, this may be the event to check out instead of coming down to Greenville.
Kringle Holiday Village
Friday, December 8: 5pm-9pm
Saturday, December 9: 11am-6pm
Sunday, December 10: 11am-6pm
Dogs are NOT allowed
Head to Fluor Field during this market and enjoy 30+ local artisan vendors and family fun including inflatables, visits with Santa, and arts and crafts. There will also be lots of food options and a beer garden. Tickets are $12 (though there is a VIP experience). You can purchase day-of tickets at the box office if you walk up.
TD Saturday Market Holiday Edition
Main Street (near the intersection with McBee Avenue) in Downtown
Saturday, December 9: 9am-1pm
Dogs are not allowed. (All downtown Greenville events like this are not dog friendly.)
If you’re a fan of the downtown farmer’s market, then you’ll love this special holiday edition. Stroll downtown Greenville to find those special local gifts for your family.
TR Farmers Market: Very Merry Local Christmas Market
Trailblazer Park in Travelers Rest
Saturday, December 9: 12pm-4pm
Dogs are not allowed. (All Trailblazer Park events are not dog friendly.)
Traveler’s Rest Farmers Market has a special Christmas edition. I love the market in the summer and the ones in the fall. There will be music, food, local vendors, and even Santa! Plus the market is (usually) right after the Christmas parade in Travelers Rest.
Winter Fest at Pangaea Brewing Company
Saturday, December 16: 11am-tpm
Dogs are not allowed inside the brewery but are welcome in their beer garden
Pet pictures with Santa from 11am-1pm and a raffle. Plus 8 vendors will be onsite for any of those local stocking stuffers. Plus festive drink specials and special beer releases.
